Article ID: 954577 - Last Review: August 19, 2008 - Revision: 1.0 The Start menu shortcut that points to Forefront for Exchange does not work in the German version of Windows Server 2008SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario:
CAUSEThis problem occurs because of a
localization issue. By default, Forefront
uses the user
group name
“Authenticated Users” to set
up permissions instead of the security identifier (SID) of
the Authenticated
Users user group. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server
SP1. After you install this hotfix rollup, Forefront will use the SID instead of using the Authenticated Users group name.
The SID is
independent of the
system language. Note Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server SP1 must be installed before you install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server SP1.
