When you create a relationship between the Contact entity, the Quote entity, and a custom Business entity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, any mappings between the Lookup property of a custom entity and the Customer property of a quote use an incorrect object type code on the quote.
This problem occurs because the entity type code in a contact is not transferred to a quote when Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 transforms one entity into another entity. When this occurs, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 looks through the attribute maps. Then, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 uses the first attribute that is mapped to the customerid attribute on the quote. Therefore, if the first attribute map is between the accountid attribute and the customerid attribute, the customerid attribute is mapped by using a contact object identifier instead of an object type code.
