Communicator 2007 does not support non-DID telephone numbers

Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 uses strict Request for Comments (RFC) 3966 validation rules for all incoming telephone numbers. Therefore, Communicator 2007 does not support non-Direct Inward Dial (DID) telephone numbers.

To make Communicator 2007 support non-DID telephone numbers, install the Communicator 2007 update that is dated October 24, 2008 on the client computers.
