Article ID: 954673 - Last Review: February 12, 2009 - Revision: 3.0 The e-mail message is not sent after you finish the Create Quick Campaign Wizard in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you
run the Create Quick Campaign Wizard on some contacts or on some accounts that
are not owned by the user who is logged on.
You
try to send an
e-mail message by using the Create Quick Campaign Wizard. However, the e-mail message
is not sent
after you finish the Create Quick Campaign Wizard. This problem occurs if the owner of the quick campaign does not have the "Send E-mail as Another User" permission on one of the assigned roles. If you open the quick campaign and then click Contacts Excluded, you receive the following e-mail message: The logged-on user does not have the appropriate security
permissions to view these records or perform this specific
action. When this problem occurs, you receive the following error message in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform trace: >Exception when trying to create record for
BulkOperationid{981E6683-4B28-DD11-82C1-0003FF0A1ECD}, entityid

incorrectly checks the
"Send E-mail as Another User" permission of the user
who owns the accounts or the contacts.
However,
Microsoft Dynamics CRM should check the "Send E-mail as Another User" permission of the user who
creates the quick campaign. RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
