You cannot use the Out of Band Management console in Configuration Manager 2007 to connect to computers that use versions of Intel AMT that are earlier than version 3.2.1

Consider the following scenario. You use System Center Configuration Manager 2007 to manage multiple computers. These computers are enabled by using versions of Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) that are earlier than version 3.2.1. In this scenario, you cannot connect to these computers by using the Out of Band Management console in the Configuration Manager 2007 console.

This problem occurs because versions of Intel AMT that are earlier than version 3.2.1 are not supported in Configuration Manager 2007.

To resolve this problem, apply the following hotfix on computers that have the Out of Band Management console installed.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
