Article ID: 954741 - Last Review: March 18, 2009 - Revision: 1.1 The UseRUSServer parameter does not work if an administrator has specified an RUS server on a target mailbox serverSYMPTOMSOn
a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) server, an administrator can run the
Move-Mailbox command together with the UseRUSServer parameter to specify a
different Recipient Update Service (RUS) server to be used. However, if the
administrator has already specified an RUS server on the target mailbox server, that
RUS server is used instead of the RUS server that is specified in the UseRUSServer
parameter. When this issue occurs, if the target RUS server is not available,
the Move-Mailbox command fails because the RUS server that is specified in the
UseRUSServer parameter is not used. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 7 for
Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1. For more information about Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1, see the following Exchange Help topic: Description of Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1
