When you run Pre-Upgrade Checker, each feature is reported by name, feature ID, number of references, and status.

The following is an example of the message that you receive:

Feature Information
The following features are either installed on this farm or referenced by the content:
For each feature
Name = Feature Name, Feature id = Feature ID, Reference count = Reference Count, Scope = Scope, Status = Feature Status (Installed/Missing)

You can install the missing features that are mentioned in the message by using the reported feature ID values.

Note Pre-Upgrade Checker ships in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 SP2. It is used to assess the server for potential upgrade issues when you try to upgrade to the next version release that supersedes Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
