Microsoft Outlook stops responding when you open, close, reply to, or forward e-mail messages in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Outlook

When you open, close, reply to, or forward e-mail messages in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook, Microsoft Outlook stops responding. This problem occurs if you process many e-mail messages at the same time. For example, Outlook may stop responding if you open or close 20 e-mail messages at the same time.
Additionally, an error message is logged in the Application log that resembles the following error message:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft Office 12
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Description: Faulting application outlook.exe, version 12.0.6023.5000, stamp 46574050, faulting module outlook.exe, version 12.0.6023.5000, stamp 46574050, debug? 0, fault address 0x0001386a.
