SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server (FSE) Service Pack 1 (SP1) is running on a computer, you may experience the following problems:
  • E-mail messages start to build into a queue.
  • The Fsctransportscanner.exe process uses lots of memory. For example, the Fsctransportscanner.exe process may use as much as 700 megabytes (MB) of memory.
Note You can monitor system memory usage in Task Manager.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server Service Pack 1 (SP1).

Note Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server SP1 must be installed before you install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server SP1.
