You cannot add a user from a parent domain to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

SYMPTOMS

When you try to add a user from the parent domain in an Active Directory parent child domain structure to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you cannot add the user to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

This problem occurs if the domain in which Microsoft Dynamics CRM belongs does not contain a global catalog domain controller.

RESOLUTION
