Error message in the Whale Communications IAG 3.6 Event Monitor or the Microsoft IAG 2007 Event Monitor: "Access denied (unknown server)"

When you review the Whale Communications Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 3.6 Event Monitor security messages or the Microsoft IAG 2007 Event Monitor security messages, you may find the following error message:

This issue occurs when the requested server is defined incorrectly in the IAG configuration console.

To resolve this issue, verify the Web server configurations of the Application in the IAG configuration console. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the IAG configuration console.
2. Expand Services, expand HTTP or HTTPS, and then click the trunk that is reported in the error message.
3. In the right side pane, under Applications, click the application name that is reported in the error message, and then click Edit.
4. Click the Web Servers tab.
5. Make sure that the IP or the FQDN that is listed in the error message is in the Addresses list.
6. Make sure that the path that is listed in the error message is in the Paths list.
7. Make sure that the port that is listed in the error message is in the HTTP Ports list or in the HTTPS Ports list.
8. Make sure that the FQDNs and the hostnames can resolve to an IP address.
   
   Note You can test the name resolution by using the NSlookup.exe utility or the Ping.exe utility.
9. If you make any changes to the properties, click OK.
10. Click File, and then click Activate.
