This article describes how to import a URL rule set in Whale Communications Intelligent Application Gateway 3.6 and Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway 2007. This article also covers the two kinds of operations that you can use to import a URL rule set.
You can use the following two methods to import a URL rule set:
- Overwrite
This method replaces the existing URL rule set with the new one. - Append
This method adds the new URL rule set to the end of the existing one.
Method 1: Overwrite
To import and overwrite the existing URL rule set, follow these steps:
- Open the IAG configuration console.
- Select a trunk.
- On the right side pane, under Security & Networking, click the Configure button next to Advanced Trunk Configuration.
- Click the URL Set tab.
- Click the Import button in the lower-left corner.
- In the Import ruleset window, select the location and the file name of the URL rule set (.rul or .ini). Make sure that you select the Overwrite existing check box.
- Type an entry in the Passphrase box, and then click Import.
- Click OK two times.
- Click File, and then click Activate.
Method 2: Append
To import a URL rule set and then append it to the existing one, follow these steps:
- Open the IAG configuration console.
- Select a trunk.
- On the right side pane, under Security & Networking, click the Configure button next to the Advanced Trunk Configuration.
- Click the URL Set tab.
- Click the Import button in the lower-left corner.
- In the Import ruleset window, select the location and the file name of the URL rule set (.rul or .ini). Make sure that you select the Append to existing check box.
- Type an entry in the Passphrase box, and then click Import.
- Click OK two times.
- Click File, and then click Activate.
