After you apply hotfix 955151, ISA Server 2006 supports the Secure/MIME feature in Exchange Server 2007

A hotfix is available for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006. Hotfix 955151 updates the HTML forms that are used by the ISA Server 2006 HTML Form Authentication method. After you apply this hotfix, ISA Server 2006 supports the Secure/MIME (S/MIME) feature when it publishes Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

Note Exchange Server 2003 also includes the Secure/MIME feature. ISA Server 2006 already supports the Secure/MIME feature for Exchange Server 2003. ISA Server 2006 does not require this update to publish Exchange Server 2003.

Hotfix 955151 replaces the Logout_smimecap.htm file with an updated file version. The Logout_smimecap.htm file is located in the following folders:

• ISA_Install_Dir\CookieAuthTemplates\ISA\HTML
• ISA_Install_Dir\CookieAuthTemplates\Exchange\HTML

Note The placeholder ISA_Install_Dir represents the installation folder of ISA Server 2006.

If you have customized the Logout_smimecap.htm file, the hotfix does not replace the file. In this scenario, you must restore the original Logout_smimecap.htm file, apply the hotfix, and then recustomize the Logout_smimecap.htm file.

The Secure/MIME feature was added in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1. This feature enables Outlook Web Access users to read and compose messages that are digitally signed or encrypted.
