Issue 1 You cannot view the site status by clicking the Site System Status node in the Configuration Manager console. Additionally, an error message that resembles the following is logged in the Sitestat.log file: ---->: SQL Server Version for SMS ACCESS is
10.0.101 SMS_SITE_SYSTEM_STATUS_SUMMARIZER <date &
time> 5380 (0x1504) Error: The SQL Version returned is not a supported SQL version. : The operation completed successfully. SMS_SITE_SYSTEM_STATUS_SUMMARIZER <date & time> 5380 (0x1504) ---->: We'll try again in 60 seconds. SMS_SITE_SYSTEM_STATUS_SUMMARIZER <date & time> 5380 (0x1504) The Configuration Manager console exits unexpectedly (crashes) when you click and then update the following node: Site Database\Computer Management\Operating System Deployment\Drivers Additionally, an
entry that resembles the following may be logged in the Smsprov.log file:CAUSESome changes were introduced in SQL Server 2008 that are not managed by the original release of System Center Configuration Manager 2007. Therefore, you may experience the issues that are described in the "Symptoms" section. RESOLUTIONTo resolve these issues, apply this hotfix before you
upgrade the site databases to SQL Server 2008. You must apply this hotfix on the following servers:
