How to change the passphrase and the password for IAG 2007, IAG 3.6, and IAG 3.1

This article describes how to change the passphrase and the password for Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007, for Whale Communications IAG 3.6, and for IAG 3.1.

How to change the IAG passphrase

To change the IAG passphrase, follow these steps:

1. Make sure that both IAG Service Policy Manager and the IAG Configuration tool are not running.
2. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then press ENTER.
3. Run the following command:
   cd drive:\Whale-Com\e-Gap\Common\Bin ChangePassPhrase.exe
   Note The placeholder drive represents the IAG installation drive.
4. Follow the instructions that appear. The instructions resemble the following:
   Abort (y/n) [y] ? n
   Please, enter the original pass phrase: ********
   Please, enter the new pass phrase: ********
   Please, re-enter the new pass phrase: ********
   Done.

How to change the IAG password

To change the IAG password, follow these steps:

1. Open IAG Service Policy Manager.
2. On the Admin menu, click Change Passwords.
3. In the Change Password dialog box, change the IAG password.
   
   Note To change the password for the IAG Configuration tool and for IAG Service Policy Manager at the same time, click to select the Use same password for all applications check box.
