When you try to install an update for Whale Communications Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 3.6 or for Microsoft IAG 2007, you may receive the following error message: After you click OK, you may receive another error message that resembles the following:

This issue occurs when you try to install an update out of sequence. For example, this issue occurs if you try to install IAG 3.6 Service Pack 1 on an IAG server that is not upgraded to IAG 3.6.

All IAG service packs and updates are accumulative. The only exception is when an update comes after a service pack. When an update is released after a service pack, you must update the service pack first.

You can avoid this issue by keeping IAG up-to-date. To keep IAG up-to-date, make sure that you always install the latest updates.
