This hotfix fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Consider the following scenario. You open Excel 2003 and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003. In a PowerPoint 2003 presentation, you embed an Excel OLE object that has hidden rows and that has a thick bottom border in the last visible row. Then, you open the embedded object by using the Visual Basic for Application (VBA) code in PowerPoint. In this scenario, Excel 2003 stops responding.
