Error message when you try to install IAG Client Components: "Whale client components could not run on this computer, since the components configuration signature could not be verified"

When you try to install Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) Client Components, you receive the following error message:

To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order in which they appear:

Method 1: Verify the detection script

Verify that the detection script is correct. If you use a custom detection script, verify that the custom detection script is correct. If you use the default detection script, verify that the WhaleDetection.vbs file was not recently modified. The WhaleDetection.vbs file is located in the following folder:Note The placeholder e-Gap represents the location in which IAG is installed.

If the default detection script was recently updated, restore the script file from a recent backup or from an IAG server that hosts the correct detection script.

Method 2: Verify the SSL certificates

Verify that the client computer has the correct SSL certificates installed in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities list. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open Windows Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. On the Content tab, click Certificates.
4. On the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab, review the certificates to verify that a valid Certification Authority certificate is installed. For example, if the SSL certificate is issued by Thawte, verify that the Thawte Server CA certificate or the Thawte Premium Server CA certificate is installed on the client computer.
