INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to remotely administer Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 3.6 by using Remote Desktop Access on a Windows Server 2003-based computer.

To remotely administer IAG 3.6 by using Remote Desktop Access on a Windows Server 2003-based computer, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
  2. Click the Remote tab, click to select the Enable Remote Desktop on this computer check box, and then click OK.
  3. Try to remotely connect to this computer. If you cannot remotely connect to this computer, make sure that the IAG firewall is not blocking the connection. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Open the IAG Configuration console.
    2. On the Admin menu, click Built-In Firewall Configuration.
    3. If the IAG built-in firewall is enabled, make sure that the following rule exists:
      Source IP: *.*.*.*
      Source Port: *
      Destination IP: 0.0.0.0
      Destination Port: 3389
      Protocol: TCP
      Internal/External: Internal
      Incoming/Outgoing: Incoming
      Block/Allow: Allow
      If this rule does not exist, click Add to manually add this rule.
    4. Click OK.
