SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web client or in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook:
  • You log on as a user who has a security role that has the Read permission for an entity.
  • You try to assign an instance of the entity to another user.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Access Is Denied.
However, the form of the entity record should be closed when you try to assign the record if you do not have access to the entity.

RESOLUTION
