Error message when you open Windows Media Center TV Pack and tune to a channel that is listed in the Electronic Program Guide: "No TV Signal"
SYMPTOMSWhen you open the Microsoft Windows Media Center TV Pack and tune to a channel that is listed in the Electronic Program Guide (EPG), you may receive one of the following error messages: Error Message 1 No TV Signal Error Message 2There is currently no TV signal detected for this channel. The channel may be temporarily off-the-air, or you may need to adjust or reconnect your TV antenna. RESOLUTIONThe Windows Media Center TV Pack has an "Auto Select" option which removes channels that have a weak signal from the EPG. To run the "Auto Select" option to check the list of available channels and to evaluate the signal strength for each channel, follow these steps:

MORE INFORMATIONThis article only applies to users in North America who have a Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) tuner and who are running the Windows Media Center TV Pack. This article does not apply to the earlier version of Windows Media Center that is included in Windows Vista or in Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). The Windows Media Center TV Pack was released on July 16, 2008. Not all computers that are shipped by hardware vendors in the retail channel have the Windows Media Center TV Pack installed. To check whether your computer has the Windows Media Center TV Pack installed, follow these steps:
If the version number is 6.0.6001.18000, you are not running the Windows Media Center TV Pack. You are running the version of Windows Media Center that is included in Windows Vista or in Windows Vista SP1. Note Channels that have a padlock icon next to them represent encrypted content. You can manually add these channels to the EPG. However, these channels will not play when you click them. This is because these channels carry encrypted content.
