ActionUsers change their password in IAG, but fail to logon to Windows with the new password. ResolutionChanging your password through IAG does not update your locally cached password on Windows Vista, XP, or Windows 2000 clients. If you change your Windows password on the domain via the IAG form, then log off from Windows and log back onto Windows (not connected to the network), you must use your old password to sign onto Windows. Windows can only update it's local cache of the domain credentials upon a successful logon to the domain with the new credentials. Users should be advised they will need to continue to use their old password when logging on to their computer at startup until they have domain network connectivity and have logged on once with the new password.
