The picture and sound do not match when you're using an HDMI cable to connect your Xbox 360 to an HDTV or to a monitor. The video signal and the audio signal appear not to be synchronised.

Audio data and video data are sent simultaneously from the Xbox 360 console through the HDMI cable to your HDTV or monitor. Therefore, you should not have a problem synchronizing the picture and the sound. However, the sound may lag behind the on-screen image for one of the following reasons:
| • | Some device is delaying the audio signal before the signal is passed to the video display. Such a device could be a cable descramblers or a home entertainment system. To test this possibility, connect the HDMI cable from the back of the Xbox 360 console directly into the HDMI port of the video monitor. |
| • | The HDTV display is performing extra processing of the video signal, and you have the audio connected by using an audio-only AV cable. To test this possibility, unplug the audio AV cable, and then connect the HDMI cable from the back of the Xbox 360 console directly into the HDMI port of your HDTV. |
