SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You run Microsoft SQL Server 2008 on a Windows Server 2008-based domain controller. You try to change a service account in SQL Server 2008 Integration Services by using SQL Server Configuration Manager. In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Current Exception:

WMI Provider Error

Unspecified Error [oX80004005]

CAUSE

This problem may occur the first time that you try to make a change.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, try to change the service account again.
