INTRODUCTION

When you upgrade a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services report to a SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services report, the following Dundas features or products are not converted to SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 features:
  • Dundas Map
  • Dundas Calendar
  • Numeric and state indicators for Dundas Gauge
  • Custom code for all Dundas objects
Note If you decide not to upgrade the SQL Server 2005 report to the SQL Server 2008 .rdl report format, the SQL Server 2008 Report Server can still display the report that has these Dundas features or products.

MORE INFORMATION

These Dundas features or products are not supported by SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services. If you decide to upgrade reports to the SQL Server 2008 .rdl report format, these Dundas features or products are removed.

SQL Server 2008 Report Server can display SQL Server 2005 reports. You can select the option not to upgrade these reports, and they will continue to work together with the Dundas features or products. However, you have to use a report authoring tool to edit these reports on a SQL Server 2008 Report Server.

Dundas has made available versions of their products that are supported in SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services. You can contact Dundas for more information about these products.
