Bug #: 50003315 (SQL Hotfix)
Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2005 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services or in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, you create a Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query that uses a CREATE GLOBAL CUBE statement to create a local cube. In the CREATE GLOBAL CUBE statement, you use an MDX function to obtain members. In this scenario, when you run the MDX query, you receive the following error message:
The syntax for 'MDXFunctionName' is incorrect.
Important Only the UnknownMember function and the DataMember function are supported for use in the CREATE GLOBAL CUBE statement.
