Changing WhlRWSName Value

This article applies to basic and webmail trunks that use the WhlRWSName variable to dynamically assign which real web server should be assigned to the session.

One scenario why you would need to modify this setting:

The Firewall admin has blocked port 80 from the DMZ to the Domino Notes farm, and replaced it with NAT, exposing only port 7777 for all requests to the Notes servers. The internal IAG must now use port 7777 when connecting to the Notes servers.

1.) In the e-Gap Configuration you need to correct the port used in your Server Name Translation (SNT) rule.

For example: Modify the the SNT rule for WhlRWSName to use 7777 instead of port 80

2.) In your validate script you need to modify the WebMail Redirect URL

For example: sWebsiteURL = http://notesmail.whale-com.com/webmailredirect.nsf (http://notesmail.whale-com.com/webmailredirect.nsf)

Should now read http://notesmail.whale-com.com:7777/webmailredirect.nsf (http://notesmail.whale-com.com:7777/webmailredirect.nsf)

3.) Activate Configuration in the configuration and test.
