SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You configure Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services to run under the SharePoint integrated mode.
  • You create a local user account that has permission to create a site collection.

Note In this scenario, the local user account is named "Test."
  • You use the Test account to run an instance of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Then, you use the Test account to create a new site collection in the SharePoint Central Administration site.
  • In the same instance of Internet Explorer, you use the Test account to specify a domain account as the site owner for the site collection.
  • You use the previously mentioned domain account to run another instance of Internet Explorer. Then, you create a document library in the site collection.
  • You upload a report to the document library.
  • You remove the Test account from the site collection.
  • You try to render the report.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report Server. Verify that the Report Server is available and configured for Sharepoint Integration mode. --> Server was unable to process request. ---> the request failed with HTTP status 401 :Unauthorized.
