INTRODUCTION

The CustomWorkflowActionsFiles rule in Pre-Upgrade Checker in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) can warn that custom .ACTIONS files exist in the farm.

MORE INFORMATION

Custom .ACTIONS files exist in the farm. These files have to be copied to the new front-end computers for Database Attach Upgrade and Gradual Upgrade in order to be visible to declarative workflow designers. Here is a sample of the warning message:
The following files should be copied:
<servername><location of wss.actions files on file system>
Important We recommend that these files be copied to front-end computers.

Note The Pre-Upgrade Checker ships in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 SP 2 and is used to assess the server for potential upgrade issues when you are preparing to upgrade to the next version release of Windows SharePoint Services and Office SharePoint Server 2007.
