SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Update Rollup 3 does not update the Outlook Web Access Logon.aspx file after you modify this file. Therefore, you may experience multiple problems, such as a blank logon page in Outlook Web Access.

Note When you customize Outlook Web Access, you have to redeploy your changes after you apply Update Rollup 3.

CAUSE

Before you replace the file, Microsoft Windows Installer compares the checksum of the existing file to a known list. If MSI cannot find a match, the file is not replaced. Therefore, Outlook Web Access script files that were modified by the customer are not replaced because the modification results in a new checksum.

RESOLUTION

Download and install Update Rollup 5 for Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1.
