Error message when you run a report that uses the "StoredProcedure" command type in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector for SQL Server Reporting Services: "Query execution failed for data set 'Test_MSCRM'"

SYMPTOMS

You create a Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report that uses a stored procedure. You reference the stored procedure in a dataset in the report by using the "StoredProcedure" command type in the dataset. When you try to run the report in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Data Connector for SQL Server Reporting Services, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

An error has occurred during report processing.
Query execution failed for data set 'Test_MSCRM'.
Could not find stored procedure ''.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 logic incorrectly changes the command text of the SqlCommand object that is used to retrieve the data when the SSRS report tries to retrieve the dataset. The underlying Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 logic does not consider that the command type may be "StoredProcedure." Therefore, the command text is changed automatically. However, when the command text is executed, an SqlException exception is raised.
