you try to install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3), you may encounter one of the following scenarios. Scenario 1 When the files from the SP3 package are being extracted before installation, you receive the following error message: Unable to find a volume with enough disk space for file extraction. When installation of the SP3 package starts, you receive the following error message: There is not enough disk space on System drive to install Service Pack 3. Setup requires a minimum of Number additional megabytes of free space or if you also want to archive the files for installation, setup requires Number+330 additional megabytes of free space. Free additional space on your hard disk and then try again. CAUSEThis problem occurs if there is insufficient free space
on the system drive to extract and install the Windows XP SP3 package. To install
the Windows XP SP3 package, the computer must have the following amount of free disk space:
RESOLUTIONIf there is insufficient free space on the system drive, you
can use a USB flash drive to install the Windows XP SP3 package.
