SYMPTOMS

You upgrade the operating system from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008. When you try to start Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you receive the following error message:
The requested Performance Counter is not a custom counter, it has to be initialized as ReadOnly.

RESOLUTION
