This hotfix applies to all Management Server and Gateway server roles. When you apply this hotfix to a Root Management Server (RMS), to a Management Server, or to a Gateway Server, any agents that are installed by using automatic or advanced discovery will await update approval in the pending management node of the Operations Manager console.To enable IIS 7.0 monitoring of a Windows Server 2008-based computer on which the Operations Manager 2007 SP1 agent has been manually installed, this hotfix must be manually applied. It is especially important that you apply this hotfix under the following circumstances:

Note To run this file in Windows Server 2008, you must run this file at a command prompt that was executed by using the Run as Administrator option. If you do not execute this Windows installer file under an elevated command prompt, the file will not enable the display of the System Center Operations Manager 2007 Software Update splash screen. Therefore, you will be unable to apply the hotfix. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
