In Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1), you cannot change the alert resolution state of any alert in the Active Alerts view. This is true if one or more alerts that are raised by agents contain a created date or a created time that is in the future.
For example, if you set an alert resolution to closed, the resolution state of closed is displayed if the Resolution State column is visible in the view. However, the alert resolution state remains in its original state if one of the following is true:
The Operations Manager console queries and then reflects changes that occurred later than the newest time in the cache. If an alert incorrectly has a future time, the Operations Manager console cannot reflect the changes.
