SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. You create a workflow rule for the Account entity. The workflow rule will be triggered when a field of an account is updated. Then, you send a quick campaign e-mail activity against the account.
In this scenario, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 triggers the workflow rule even if the field of the account is not updated.
CAUSEThis problem occurs because Microsoft Dynamics CRM updates all attributes of an account when you send a quick campaign e-mail activity against the account. However, only the lastusedincampaign attribute of the account should be updated. RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
