SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You create a report by using the Report Wizard. The report contains information for the E-mail Templates entity or for the Notes entity. In this scenario, when you click Set Properties on a Send E-mail step in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Workflow Designer, you receive the following error message:

An error has occurred. For more information, please contact your system administrator.

If the Dev Errors feature is turned on or if a platform trace is enabled, you may also receive the following error message:

The Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.
