Article ID: 957485 - Last Review: March 18, 2009 - Revision: 1.1 The Test-OwaConnectivity command returns a warning message in Exchange Server 2007 when there is a disjoint namespaceSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario:
WARNING: The test was unable to log on to Outlook Web Access
because of an authentication failure. URL: xxxx
Mailbox: xxxx User: xxxx
WARNING: The test for URL 'xxxx' failed.
CAUSEThis issue occurs because Exchange Server rebuilds the
network credential and uses only the NetBIOS domain name when non-FBA
authentication methods are used. Authentication fails because the NetBIOS
domain name does not match the FQDN in a disjoint namespace
scenario. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 7 for
