This article
describes the Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 issues that are fixed in the
Project Server 2007 hotfix package that is dated October 28,
2008.
This article describes the following items about the hotfix package:
The issues that the hotfix package fixes.
The prerequisites for installing the hotfix
package.
Whether you must restart the computer after you install
the hotfix package.
Whether the hotfix package is replaced by any other
hotfix package.
This hotfix fixes the
following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge
Base article:
When you import timesheets on the My Tasks page in
Microsoft Office Project Web Access (PWA), time is not always imported
correctly. This issue may occur when timesheets are re-imported or when
overtime hours are recorded.
If the site regional setting is Danish or Norwegian, you
may receive the following error message when you save a lookup table:
Unknown error
After you apply Project Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1),
the timesheet does not show the same column width on the My Timesheet page as
before.
Therefore, it is difficult or impossible for you to read the column header
information.
When you add resource custom fields to a timesheet view,
the timesheet view is displayed correctly. However, when you add values for the
custom fields, and then save or submit the timesheet, the values are
not saved.
The task updates may fail if a calendar error occurs during
check-in.
Consider the following scenario. You create a Project-level
custom field that uses a formula, and the formula contains more than two other
custom fields. Then, you change the values of the custom fields in PWA. In this
scenario, the Project-level custom field becomes blank when you publish the
changes in PWA.
Note This issue only occurs if a
language pack is applied together with Project Server 2007.
The Progress field in
the My Tasks view is not calculated correctly if the
calendar does not use eight hours per day.
If you try to approve several timesheets at the same time,
only the first timesheet is approved.
You successfully performed a restore of a farm to a
different computer. However, when you try to visit the PWA site, you receive
the following error message:
File not
found
When you save and publish a project plan in PWA, the custom
fields that use formulas are not recalculated.
On the Project Center page, a value is displayed in the
Work column for a cost resource when there is no work for this
kind of
resource.
Summary resource assignments values may not match those under Other
Projects and Commitments in the Resource Usage view.
When a resource tries to import a timesheet into My Tasks,
the import page only refreshes. The import page does not import the timesheet
if the resource is not the assignment owner of the activity plan.
Note The assignment owner cannot be changed for tasks that are first
assigned to one resource, and then reassigned to the second resource.
When you edit a status report, you may receive the
following message:
The specified start date occurs in
the past. Specify a new start date that is not earlier than today.
Therefore, the start date of the report must be changed.
If you try to preview or accept more than approximately
54 tasks on the Task Updates page at the same time,
the Task Updates page stops responding,
returns no data, or you
receive the following error message:
An unexpected error has occurred.
On the Close Tasks to Update page, you cannot publish a
task that has only cost resources assigned. The task is not closed to
updates.
Note This issue occurs for both local cost resources and enterprise
cost resources.
When you create a timesheet, you may receive the following
error message:
Unexpected error
Note This issue occurs if the site regional setting is Norwegian and
the project is created by using the Norwegian version of Microsoft Office
Project Professional 2007.
Gantt
bars are not displayed in the Project Center view for custom durations.
You
may experience the following symptoms:
Resource Center takes a long time to load if there are
many resources.
The Task Updates page takes a long time to load if
tasks have long durations.
After a resource updates a task, the updated actual
billable work is not
in the MSP_Project_Timesheet
cube.
When you try to import timesheets on the Import Timesheet
page, the import fails. Additionally, the
following error is logged in the Unified Logging
Service (ULS) log:
PSError: GeneralUnhandledException Undefined attributes
list: System.ArgumentException: Statusing - Cannot create new Saved Task for
resource's task
After you save and publish a project plan in PWA, any
calculated task custom field that uses the WBS column is
empty.
If
an issue, risk, or deliverable is assigned to a Windows user before the Microsoft Windows
SharePoint Services (WSS) synchronization process, there may be a mismatch with
the Windows account in the resource pool.
After you apply the Project Server 2007 Infrastructure
Update, the schedule Web part does not work correctly.
Custom
fields together with formulas are not available in the My Assignments view.
After you install hotfix 956061, Project Center times out.
