SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. You create an invoice by using a CRM SDK application. Then, you create the same invoice again. In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
'Invoice' entity doesn't contain attribute with Name = 'revision_number'.
However, in this scenario, you should receive an error message that resembles the following:
An error that specifies that the duplicate cannot be entered.
This problem occurs after you apply hotfix 954655.
