SYMPTOMSIf you have a low-bandwidth network connection or a high-latency
network connection between Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 client for Outlook and the
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 server, you receive the following error message when you try to go online : An unknown
error has occurred. Retry the action. If the problem persists, contact your
system administrator. Exception occurred in playback of SOAP packet
System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.SyncQueue.SyncQueueDriver.ProcessSoapPacket(OfflineQueueRow row, SoapPacketModifier packetModifier) at SyncQueueDriver.ProcessSoapPacket(OfflineQueueRow row, SoapPacketModifier packetModifier) at SyncQueueDriver.DoGoOnline() at SyncQueueDriver.GoOnline() at SyncQueueForOutlook.DoGoOnline() at ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context(Object state) at ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) at ThreadHelper.ThreadStart() RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
