When you configure outgoing disclaimers in a Microsoft Antigen 9.0 server, all outgoing messages typically contain the disclaimers. However, if the disclaimers are configured on a server that has Antigen 9.0 with Service Pack 1 installed, the messages that are opened in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 or in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 do not contain the disclaimers. Additionally, the following message is logged in the ProgramLog.txt file:
Note When you use Outlook Express to open the messages, the disclaimers are contained in the messages.
AppendDisclaimer failed(4) with hr(800C0002)
Antigen 9.0 with SP1 cannot add a disclaimer to the Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF) section of the outgoing message. Because Outlook displays the message in TNEF format, the disclaimer cannot be displayed in Outlook. Antigen 9.0 with SP1 can add the disclaimer to a MIME section of the message. Because Outlook Express displays the message in the MIME format, the disclaimer can be displayed in Outlook Express.
Outlook 2003To resolve this problem in Outlook 2003, install Hotfix Rollup 5 for Antigen 9.0 with Service Pack 1.
