SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2, you create a send port that uses the EdiSend pipeline.
  • You enable tracking after port processing for the send port.
In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following if you serialize an XML message that is not valid:
The Messaging Engine encountered an error while suspending one or more messages.
You receive this error message instead of receiving a suspended message.

Additionally, the XML message remains in the active queue instead of in the suspended queue.

Note To disable tracking after port processing, follow these steps:
  1. In BizTalk Server Administration, click Tracking in the Send Port Properties dialog box.
  2. In the Track Message Bodies area and in the Track Message Properties area, click to clear the Request message after port processing check box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
