This update improves the reliability of Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.5.2. Additionally, this update includes fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code.

  This update fixes an issue that causes data loss when you save an .xls file to a network volume after you enable the Always create backup option.

Prerequisites

Before you install the Office 2004 for Mac 11.5.2 Update, make sure that the computer is running Macintosh OS X 10.2.8 (Jaguar) or a later version of the Macintosh OS X operating system.
