Error message when you perform a content deployment of a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site collection that has a custom site template: "Cannot import site"

When you perform a content deployment of a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site collection that has a custom site template, you receive the following error message: When this problem occurs, the target site's WEBTEMPLATE property is set incorrectly to STS, instead of to the name of the custom site, Webtempmysts.xml.

This problem occurs because the Configuration ID 0 property is not included in the Webtempmysts.xml file.

To resolve this problem, apply hotfix 957691.
