SYMPTOMS

A new set of public APIs lets Windows Internet Explorer 7 add-ons specify a thread as a "peer" to the tab thread. This means that the peer thread is visually associated with a tab and that logic, such as unintended dialog suppression, should treat dialog boxes that come from the peer thread the same as dialog boxes that are invoked from the active tab.
