SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 issue that is fixed in the OneNote 2007 hotfix package that is dated October 28, 2008.

INTRODUCTION

This hotfix fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

In a notebook, when you click a hyperlink to visit a page in a virtual section, OneNote tries to open the original section where the virtual section is created.

If the notebook that contains the original section is closed, you receive the following message when you click the hyperlink:

Microsoft Office OneNote
Do you want to open the "NoteBookName" notebook in OneNote (recommended) or just open the "SectionName" section from within it?
Open NotebookOpen Section
If the notebook that contains the original section is open, OneNote opens the original section instead of the virtual section when you click the hyperlink.
