Problems that you may experience when you use the Live Meeting 2007 Web client together with Internet Explorer 8

When you use the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Web client together with Windows Internet Explorer 8, you may experience one of the following problems.

• Problem 1
  
  When you try to join a meeting, you receive the following message:
  Live Meeting Web Access does not support your current Internet browser on this platform. Please try using a supported browser.
  We have detected that you have a Popup Blocker enabled for this browser. Please click on the "Re-enter Meeting" button below to launch Live Meeting Web Access.
• Problem 2
  
  You add a Web slide to a meeting. However, when the Web slide is presented, only a red X is viewable. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
  Loading Java Applet Failed
• Problem 3
  
  When you click the Close (X) button to exit the Live Meeting 2007 Web client console, the console crashes. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
  General Exception

To work around these problems, use the workaround that is appropriate for the problem that you experience.

• Workaround for problem 1
  
  Temporarily allow pop-up windows. To do this, click the Information bar at the top of the Live Meeting 2007 Entry Page window, and then click Temporarily Allow Pop-ups.
  
• Workaround for problem 2
  
  Do not use the Preview Window feature. Instead, click to select the Bypass Web page Check check box before you click Create Web Page to directly upload the Web page.
• Workaround for problem 3
  
  Use a release of Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 that is earlier than Update 10. For more information about the earlier releases that are available for Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6, visit the following Sun Microsystems Web site:
