INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • Consider the following scenario:
    1. On the Schedule tab in the Options dialog box in Project 2007, you select the Split in-progress tasks check box.
    2. You create a task that spreads over more than one weekly time period.
    3. In the Task Information dialog box, you select Finish No Earlier Than in the Constraint type list on the Advanced tab.
    4. The timephased actual work is greater than or equal to the total task work value, or the timephased actual work is greater than or equal to the total assignment work value.
In this scenario, when the actual work is added to the first time period, the additional work is scheduled for the task in the next time periods, until the constraint date is reached.
  • Consider the following scenario. There is a migration from Microsoft Office Enterprise Project Management 2003 to Enterprise Project Management 2007. On the Advanced tab in the Task Information dialog box, the Finish No Earlier Than or Must Start On option is selected for a task in the Constraint type list. In this scenario, during the migration, the scheduling may change.
