SYMPTOMS

When you configure the FTP send port to use "QUIT" as the AfterPut command in a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 environment, the BizTalk Server FTP adapter does not send messages. Additionally, event errors that resembles the following are logged in the Application log:

Event 1

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: BizTalk Server 2006
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2006
Event ID: 5743
Description:
The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port "TestOut" with URL "ftp://<server>/BizTalk/%MessageID%.xml". It will be retransmitted after the retry interval specified for this Send Port. Details:"The command "QUIT" failed on the FTP server. ".

Event Source: BizTalk Server 2006
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2006
Event ID: 5754
Description:
A message sent to adapter "FTP" on send port "TestOut" with URI "ftp://<server>/BizTalk/%MessageID%.xml" is suspended. Error details: The command "QUIT" failed on the FTP server.


Note If you use BizTalk Server 2009, the Event Source and Event Category in above events are “BizTalk Server 2009”.
